Hello Fellow OBRA Members,

I know it is still early but I just wanted to give all of you a heads up that our web site has been updated with info for this year's race along with registration now being open both by mail in and online. You can check it out at www.mthoodcyclingclassic.com We are looking forward to bigger and better this next year and hope that you can join us. I am sure most of you had heard by now that we are going to be a part of USA Cycling's NRC series. Both the Pro 1-2 men's and women's races will be run as USCF events and are NRC races. All other categories will continue to enjoy the benefits of OBRA. In addition to being granted NRC status, Full Sail Brewing our title sponsor has stepped up to show us just how much they enjoy this event and support cycling in the Northwest. They have just recently inked a deal that will keep them as our title sponsor for three more years. Are they great are what! Here are a couple more things to look for in 05'

a.. A restructured criterium course that is kinder and gentler to the riders (sorry).

b.. A prize purse that has nearly doubled in size.

c.. A new separate 3-4 women's category that is 3 days and 3 stages in length.

Finally stay tuned for more details in the days to come on a new Oregon Stage Race Series involving your favorite events Columbia Plateau, Elkhorn Classic, and Mt. Hood! That's right Nathan, Mark and I have cooked up a little something to help keep things interesting in the Northwest Peleton! More info on that later this month.

As always please make sure and book your lodging accommodations early and categories will be limited to 100 riders per field. Rooms go fast for this event and we are expecting another strong turn out. Good luck to all of you this spring and ride safe out there!

Sincerely,

Chad & Rest of the Crew
