Okay, got it. Hopefully there were some other ignorant foooos out there

besides me that now have it as well. I'm thinking I will contribute to

this worthy cause.

Jon Myers, Club Vivo and the rest of the statements that Jon make are

very accurate. They have given heavily from the Cross Crusade profits

to support riders going to worlds in the past. I am putting a check in

the mail today to help Barry and Erik and if the rest of you feel so

inclined I heartedly endorse that!

Candi,

Can you verify the legitimacy of this for the rest of us that don't know

anything about Club Vivo or Jon Myers?

In years past, the Cross Crusdade has donated thousands of dollars to

local cross racers that have gone to the World Championships and Europe

to race. Last year, for example, we donated $1000 to Andy Brooks

(Southern Oregon) to help defray the costs of racing as a junior at last

year's Cyclo-cross worlds.

We will be doing all we can this year also.

Any athelete not automatically selected for the team has to pay their

own way.   Barry, Erik, and Rhonda were all discresionary picks and thus

have to pay for the trip themselves. This includes airfare, lodging,

food, and travel,

If anyone would like to have a central location to donate funds to

help these locals pay for a trip to worlds, the Cross Crusade would be

happy to help. We will pass on 100% of funds donated and provide a

public accounting off all funds donated and given out.

If you would like to help in this way, please make the check out to

"club vivo". Send it to:

   Club Vivo c/o jon myers

   7025 SW 7th Ave

   Portland, OR 97219

   attn: cross worlds

   Thanks, Jon Myers

This is really cool. I can't believe there are going to be 3 guys from

the NW race scene going to worlds. I'm sure these guys are going to

have to fork over quite a bit out of their own pocket to get there and

race. Has anyone set up a way to donate money for the cause? Or does

anyone have any Ideas on how to set something up?
