But the stop sign law for bikes changed last year. Cyclist can treat stop signs as yield
signs. You DO NOT have to stop IF the traffic allows.

The Portland Police are watching this intersection for
cyclists entering Broadway from the north and not
stopping at the stop sign. If you commute from NE you
might be familiar with it as it's a popular way onto
Broadway from NE Vancouver.
Anyway, I got pulled over this morning along with two
other cyclists. We recieved written warnings but the
officer told us that they are watching the
intersection closely. I think their main concern is
safety as Broadway is a pretty busy street. The
intersection has great sight distance though!
Anyway just a warning for any commuters from NE.
