Hello OBRA-land,
Express Racing out of McKenzie Bridge, Oregon is on the lookout for a sports
management and marketing intern to work potentially mid February through mid
September. Express Racing is a sports management company, currently managing
the Subway Professional Cycling Team and directing the Sea Otter Classic UCI
Road Stage Race and Cougar Mountain Classic NRC Stage Race.
Duties focus primarily on communications and PR. Candidates should be
energetic, self motivated, and have experience in racing or race promotion, and
have an education or experience in writing, media and public relations. Computer
skills in Word and Excel a must. Web site skills a bonus. This is a
partially paid position.
Duties would include:
-- Race reports and press releases
-- Pre-event and on-site event communications and staff assistance for up to
2 USA Cycling National Racing Calendar (NRC) events (including travel)
-- General assistance to team and event director's office duties
-- Potential camp and clinic work
