Hello all,

Rude remarks, and personal jabs aside (see below) lets

just all try and have a safe race this year. remember

its the first race, we are ametures, so sprinting like

crazy in the cat 4 race(or any cat) for 12th place

isn't worth a broken collarbone or worse.

As for Jason and all those who have stepped onto the

complainers podium, here is to a race season filled

with flats and mechanicals.

Have you addressed the promoter of the race directly

about your issues with his race? I think not!

Please provide your bosses name and phone number so

the next time he or she wants to criticize you they

can do so over the company blast email or overhead

paging system.

As far as the level of prizes, you have got to be

kidding. We are amateurs who ride for the love of

the sport. The sheer fact we get any accolades at

all is pure icing on the cake.

Would the promoter of Cherry Pie RR please contact

me? I'd be happy to donate some coffee to go with

them Cherry Pies :-)

I think that's way out of line to complain.

It takes a lot of effort to organize a road event.

Almost nobody here races for a living. If you are

someone who does, I'd think you'd be racing

elsewhere.

And it's their thing - Pies. Yeah it's kind of

cheesy, but no where close to the cheesiness you

just displayed, in my opinion.

Hello OBRA,

I am usually not one to complain about payouts at

bike races because I do race for fun, however the

Cherry Pie Road Race just bugs me. I have heard the

past couple years it is the biggest road race of the

year in reguards to attendance, yet all you get for

placing is a CHERRY PIE??? You train all winter,

and if you place all you get is a pie? No one else

as a problem with this?

What do other people think of this? I know a couple

weeks ago there was some talk about prize lists and

payouts at races. Why do so many people show up

especially people from out of state to race for

Pies?

Maybe OBRA people just like racing for pies, and in

order to increase summer race attendence promoters

should drop cash prizes and give away pies!

I do want to thank the promoter for putting on such

a great event, and taking the time out the their

schedule to put on the event, I would just like to

see you do better then donated pies as your prize

list.
