speaking of fixed gears, i overheard this little ditty being sung by

someone trackstanding at a traffic light early the other morning-



i'm fixing a wheel so my cog won't spin

and makes my legs keep pedaling

how they will go, how they will go



i'm pumping a tire that's stuck with a pin

and chilled my legs now not spinning

how they leak slow, how they leak slow



and it really doesn't matter if your bike is light

when you ride stay right when you ride



see the people walk around who stare at me

and always ask me why there's just one speed on your bike?

silly people driving there who disagree

and never win and think that they can make the next light



i'm adding a link so my chain won't bind

and lets my legs spin unconfined

i'm taking the time for straightening a rim

that came out of true yesterday
