I am doing this for a friend...

A few months ago a friend was hit by a car on Belmont Avenue in front of

a few pedestrians and at least one guy on a bike who chased the car down

to get a liscence plate number. The police got all his info, the info

from the witnesses and began to do their thing.

Come to find out today that they're dropping the case. Even with the

plate number they don't have a driver... is what they're telling him.

Without a driver, they have no case I guess.

My friend ended up not only being run over, but also being dragged under

the car and then thrown up to land on top of a parked car.

I'm trying to find out for him whether or not he can, and should, persue

other options. I know there are lawers on this board who are also

cyclists so I thought someone would know what he should do or who he

should talk to.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

And to keep things on the board to topic, you can email me directly.

Thanks!
