technically, it doesn't bother him, his whole planet is made of it, it just makes his "powers" go away. On his home planet the K makes every there seem like humans, with no cool powers. it is the absence here on earth of K that makes him "super".



now can we go back to zip ties, and how old "masters" really aught to be
