Don't do it. In addition to that new 10spd cassette, you'd need new

shifters, maybe an new rear derailleur, and new chain at minimum. Stay with

9.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Wheel upgrade question(s)

I'd like to upgrade my wheels this year and have a couple questions on what

else I need to consider before I do it.

It seems a majority of the wheelsets take 10 speed cassettes. My bike

currently has a 9 speed / 105 drivetrain. Aside from getting the wheels and

a new cassette, are there any other parts I would be forced to upgrade.

Rear derailleur? Shifters? Chain?

I don't want to bite off more than I can (financially) chew and I'm curious

if moving to a 10 speed cassette will ripple through the rest of the bike.

Thanks,

Mike
