From Feb. 19-26, the world's top professional cycling teams will race across

700 miles of scenic California roadway in the Amgen Tour of California, a

cycling race modeled after the Tour de France, and only one of a few

American races listed on the 2006 professional cycling calendar. Martinez

will be setting of the 100-mile 2nd Stage that makes its way from Martinez

to San Jose. The event will be featured on ESPN 2 for one hour each day of

the race as well as local print, radio and television coverage.

area and have Comcast cable. It starts on the 19th, but the web site still
