Maybe we should do what the BCS does for college football ? a very long
self-correcting and dynamic equation that takes into account:
+ the quality of the competition (defined by past wins and placings)
+ the margin of victory (measured in time or distance?)
+ AP writers' poll and coaches' poll
+ number of riders in contention
+ race-day temperature and humidity
+ median frame material of the peleton
+ size of winner's team vs. other teams in contention
But we could do the BCS one better and have a BAR championship playoff
bracket, like hoops' March Madness. Except we could call it November
Nuttiness or December Dementia.
