I am considering relocating to the Portland area. I have become accustomed,

the last few years, to riding and training outside through the winter (with

some weather-related exceptions). Having visited the area briefly last

month, it seems quite wet. But I know from what I've read this is likely a

skewed perspective. Can you describe the opportunities for someone wanting

to train (and commute by bicycle) year-round? And I would be interested in

entering a few USCF road races in the warmer months.
