Not to mention that it is within the law for a bike to be on the road -yes

even if there is no bike lane.

It's not only about being courteous and conscientious. There are LAWS to

protect us. And some of those BASTARDS may have to find out the hard way-through

their wallet.

They need to learn the rules. Nobody is forcing them to be out on the road.

If they don't like the rules, take their car and go home.

I'm tired of those arrogant SOBs as well.

Dear M. McHugh, M. Clarke, and M. Hubert:

I am writing to express my extreme displeasure and disappointment in

two of your radio DJ's, Terry and Nelson. Their comments regarding

bicycles on roads are irresponsible. Their opinion that bicycles do

not belong on the road is a disservice to those who cycle, and their

comments help foster a hostile attitude toward cyclists. Given that

we should be promoting both exercise and alternative forms of

transportation, I do not believe that Entercom Communications nor its

advertisers would want to encourage such behavior.

Sincerely,

T. Kenji Sugahara, Chair

Oregon Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports
