Rachel
Greetings Again,
OK, Last FS post here. This is another bike I love, but don't use anymore...
Pictures: http://www.thevanhorns.org/ttbike/index.html
Specs:
- Frame 57cm seat tube, 56cm top tube measured center to center
- Specialized Tri-spokes w/ good tires
- Hand built Dura-Ace/Mavic Reflex wheels w/ DT Revolution spokes. Nice!
- Vision TT bars (the kind Lance Armstrong used on his TT bikes for years)
- Dia-Compe reverse-pull break levers
- Ultegra rear derailleur
- Dura-Ace from derailleur
- Matching frame pump w/ Campy head
- Campy Athena crankset. w/ 53/42 'rings
- Campy head-set (Chorus??)
- Campy single-pull breaks. Aero and stop on a dime!
- Shimano HG Chain and 9 speed Ultegra cassette in great condition
- Avocet Ti-railed 02 Saddle. Old, but sooo comfortable
- American classic seat post.
- Friction bar-ends. Don't worry...they work great. Try it out if you doubt
me.
I am 6' 2" w/ a 32-33 inch inseam and this bike fits like a dream. This is
the most comfortable TT set-up I have ever ridden. The angle of the bars is
aero and comfortable. I was able to stay in these things for an hour+ of
hard effort w/ no problem. My TT times got *way* better when I started
riding this bike w/ the Tri-Spokes and Vision bars.
The Davidson Impulse frame is in good shape for its age. It has some chips,
but the paint is still very beautiful. Davidson frames are hand built in
Seattle and very well respected. The Impulse frame is a non-custom frame. My
best guess is that the frame was built in about 1990. Check out the pictures
of this 'stealth bomber' at the link above.
Having a dedicated TT bike is *so* nice. No more fussing w/ clip-on aero
bars, and being able to shift in the aero position is something you just
can't appreciate until you do a race with it.
Complete: $1000 obo

I *may* consider selling the Tri-spokes, but only if I can't sell complete.
Thanks,
Dominic Van Horn
