FS: Commuter Bike

Frame: Spec. Rockhopper, steel, 18" seat tube
Wheels: XT/517 rear, Weinmann front
Crank: Sugino, modified to run single chainring
Brakes: Shimano canti's
Rubber: Conti Gatorskin city tyres
Here's the deal - I put a lot of care, attention and energy into building this bike before deciding it was too small (duh). It's set up as a single speed at the moment, with new drivetrain and new cables and overhauled everything, but I would be happy to slap gears on it for you if you'd prefer. It just wants a loving home. I'll consider all reasonable offers.

I would like to sell one of the bikes I use for commuting. Has about 1K miles on it since Sept. 2004, some riding in the rain, hard to avoid. A few paint dings but kept clean and will have it checked over by my local shop for any interested buyer.

The Bike: Soma Fab. Frame metallic green 60CM (bought from cyclePath in Portland); Shimano 105 brake cali, derailuers, ultegra 12-25 cass.; FSA Gossamer Compact Crank set; Cane Creek S2 HS; Reynolds carbon fork, no name Carbon SP; Ritchey Force-Lite bars with Shimano Deore brake levers, shimano SL-R660 shifters, bar ends included. Older mavic open pro wheels with D/A hubs.

Will include the rack on the back. Has had one rust prevent treatment to the inside of the frame before build. Original build done by Bike Peddler. Has many more miles and stories left in this bike. Asking $750/OBO. I live in Salem.

Thanks for reading
