With 2 1/2 weeks to go until race day the Men's Pro/1/2 field is full. The Men's Cat 3 field has 3 spot's left, if you want in you have to register on-line and I would suggest doing that today or tomorrow.

We have started a waiting list for the Pro/1/2, and will start one for the Cat 3 Men as soon as it fills up.

You will need to sign up on-line for the waiting list. There is $25 charge to be put on the waiting list which will be applied to your entry. If you get an email or call that a space is open for you to race and you turn it down the $25 is non-refundable. We will refund it if no spot's open up, refunds will be sent after the race.

All other fields are a go as well, we are combining the 3 & 4 women but scoring them separate. Juniors have 10 riders and will race as a separate field.

We are still in need of a few more volunteers, especially on Friday and Sunday. Drivers, corner help, start, finish, etc... Remember volunteers get free lunch, gas $$ and a cool WVC T-shirt, as well as entered into a raffle for some cool prizes to be given away at our Pizza Part the following Thursday after the race at Track Town Pizza.

If you have any questions please email me direct at sweetsports@rio.com.

Just 13 more days to go for pre-registration and a couple fields are filling up fast. The Pro/1/2 Men is about 30% full, Cat 3 Men & Cat 4/5 Men at about 50% full. Limits are set at 100 for the Pro/1/2 & 3, & 75 for the Cat 4/5. So register soon if you plan to do this race and want a spot. Race roster will be posted on around the 1st of April, I can tell you that about 60% of all the registrants are from outside Oregon at this time.

Juniors, Master's 3/4/5 and Women need to register by March 15th if at all possible so we can see how many riders in each category. We may need to combine some fields if not enough register.

Leader Jersey & Most Aggressive Rider jersey are on-line as well, sponsored by Upland Sports, they look pretty cool.

Race Bible & lodging information are on line, race bible may have some minor changes or corrections between now and race day but start times, distances & course info will all remain the same. You can find information under the logistics tab on the website.

We are looking for volunteers and host housing, if you want to help our email me direct and we can work that out.

We are just 60 days away from the start of the www.willamettevalleyclassic.com and the season is starting to take shape. We wanted to get a couple pieces of information out there for everyone considering doing the race.

We are thrilled to announce the sponsorship of Upland Sports Group (www.uplandsg.com) and the Willamette Valley Classic for our Leader & Aggressive Rider Jersey?s.

Race Leader Jersey, The leader each day of each and every category will be awarded a Race Leaders Jersey. This goes for the Pro/1/2 Men all the way to the Women Cat 4 and Juniors.

Aggressive Riders Jersey, the person with the most points at the end of each stage will be awarded a jersey. Same as the Race Leader Jersey we have a jersey for every category in the race.

You can view the jerseys at our website (www.willamettevalleyclassic.com), print them out and post it on the fridge to give you some motivation for the upcoming 2 months.

The Race Bible is near completed and we will be posting it on line very soon, just waiting on some remaining information to come in and it?s done. Stage information, maps, elevations, etc? are on line.

Host Hotel, this also should be on-line very shortly, just ironing out the details with a few places.

Registration Pre-registration deadline is March 15th, if you want to be guaranteed a t-shirt, meal, & other little goodies make sure you are registered by then, plus save yourself $25.

Categories, as it stand right now we have the following categories.

Pro/1/2 Men
Cat 3 Men
Cat 4/5 Men

Pro/1/2 Women
Cat 3 Women*
Cat 4 Women*

Masters 1/2/3 40+
Masters 3/4/5 40+*

Juniors 16-18 only*

The * means that if we don?t get enough riders pre-registered by March 15th these categories will be combined with another category. What? You may ask is enough riders.

Cat 3 Women: 25 Riders
Cat 4 Women: 25 Riders
May be combined as 1 group

Masters 3/4/5 40+: 35 Riders
Will be moved into the Masters 1/2/3 40+ group

Juniors 16-18: 10 Riders (if combined juniors will be required to race their Category)

You can email contact@willamettevalleyclassic.com for more information or check out our website at www.willamettevalleyclassic.com.

For registration go to http://www.willamettevalleyclassic.com/images/Printoutform.pdf or register online at ORBike at http://orbike.com/servlet/com.gcm.servlet.shop.EventRegister1?commodityID=15834.
