I have the same complaint - why won't a local bike shop set up bikes on
trainers, with a variety of saddles to choose from? Seems like that would
attract a lot of riders to experiment.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Saddle Recommendations?
OBRA-land,
I've had a Selle Italia Evo for the last 3 years and it's getting
progressively more uncomfortable. Not sure if that's due to the increase in
weekly miles I'm putting on it, or if the saddle firmness is wearing out.
Maybe I'm just getting older too. Anyway since I haven't found a place that
will let me try various saddles before buying, has anyone found a particular
model of racing saddle that's a really good fit and comfortable? Curious if
there's any overall concensus even though we all come in different shapes
and sizes...
