Well, I'm certainly not trying to derail the local shops because I've
gotten great service from Bike Gallery as well. Plus, I've gotten great
swag from Lakeside too. But, if you order online from Performance, you
can send just about anything back to them. It's almost like Nordstrom.

I once bought a saddle at Performance and they told me I could install
and try it on my bike at home, then return it if it didn't work. They
told me to wrap the rails in tape so they didn't get scratched up, and
that the saddle had to come back looking new. It worked for me so I
never took advantage of their return offer.
