I rode just outside of Paris in 1996. There were some pretty good areas there that weren't too bad once you get out of the city limits. Most of the people were pretty good to the cyclist. If you make it down south a bit to Besacon, there are some great areas to ride down there. I did several races in that area area.

I'm going to Paris for vacation for the month of May. Is it possible to
train in Paris without getting killed? Are there worthwhile routes? Or
should I just go to the gym and ride an excercycle?
Merci bien,
Ken
