Subject: VO2 testing

Candi,

Would you please post this to the OBRA membership for their

information and potential use. A fellow by the name of Saul Blau is

traveling through Oregon and will be offering VO2 and general fitness

evaluation tests. He will be in the Bend area on Sunday and Monday, the

5th and 6th of March and then will travel to Portland and Vancouver from

the 7th to the 10th. He is planning on being in Medford next Saturday,

March 11, and is planning on having a demonstration at Sim's Cycle in

the early afternoon. If anyone in Medford or Ashland is interested in

viewing a test please contact Sim's Cycle. If anyone is interested in

obtaining some meaningful and useful information with which to train for

the upcoming racing season, these tests will tell all you need to know.

He may be reached at (714) 270-1320 (cell) or emailed at

sbla-@aol.com. He is charging approx. $70 or $80 per athlete. Each

test takes approx. 30 minutes to complete. If you are interested just

bring riding clothing and cycling shoes - he has all the major types of

pedals. Apparently, he will be conducting the tests at River's Edge

Fitness - I believe Lance Coffel may also be reached for information -

and at Lacamas (spelling???) Center in Vancouver. For a recap:

                    VO2 Tests:            $70 - $80
