We had the test done by Saul this week as well. He is extremely

knowledgable, and as Rich said the information that he provides can be

tremendoulsy valuable. In talking with Saul, if the response is good now he

will most likely be able to return later in the season for follow up testing

to determine where you have progressed to. Other places charge much more

(i.e. our local college) and the information is not as valuable. If you

have the time, I would recommend the testing.

Subject: VO2 Max. tests

There is a guy in town presently offering VO2 max. testing....(there was an

email on this earlier this week). I had mine done and i would recommend the

test to anybody considering it. The guy running the test is Saul Blau and

he's doing the testing at River's Edge Athletic Club (thanks to Lance Coffel

for the use of the club) all day today (Friday) and on Sat. a.m. as well.

The test takes about 45 min. (only about 15 riding time) and provides

valuable information (VO2 max, Anaerobic Threshold data, specific HR

training zones, body composition, etc...) to anybody serious about their

training. While the test will not make you a faster rider it may make you a

smarter one.

Saul can be best reached on his cell phone at 714-270-1320, he is very

knowledgable and great to work with.
