Re: OT- Social Hour at the Squat Rack

To all of you critizing folks for "hanging out" at the gym and not spinning
as you would-

Who are you to critize how others spend their time at the gym? Why do you
care?
Y'all come off like a bunch of elitist jocks.

If a guy wants to hang with his buddies at the squat rack and grunt like a
gorilla, then let him. So they don't ride their bikes to the gym, big deal.
Since the question was asked, "What kind of a society do we live in that
people think like this?" I'll answer it: We live in a free society where
people are free to do as they damn well please provided it doesn't infringe
on the freedoms of others. Woiuld y'll have it that we dictate how others
get around and spend their time based solely on how you choose to do so?
Although you may think otherwise, that doesn't make you liberal and
progressive. That makes you a fascist - I call it like I see it.

As for assuming that weight lifters are illiterate and are doing nothing
simply because their weight lifting is not prep for another sport, such an
arrogant attitude says more about you than them. The weight lifters at my
gym are good guys and gals, are smart and friendly. How do I know this?
Because I introduced myself to them and got to know them as people and not
objects.

Since you haters seem to have never talked to these guys hanging out nude
watching tv or however they chooose to spend their time at the gym, it makes
you come off like...well, what's that word you call a person when they have
judged someone before meeting them?

If the folks at the gym bother you so much, perhaps you should stay home.
