CM,
Check out this web site:

There are three great routes listed with detailed maps. I've done the
Manzanita route and the Nestucca River Road route. They are both excellent,
but the dirt part of the Lower Nehalem River Rd. is a pretty tough going, so
if you're not up for that challenge you might go a different way. The
Nestucca route is amazing. It is a fair bit of climbing through the coast
range and the dirt road is a short and smooth section. On weekdays there
will be logging trucks. There is camping along the way and also out on Cape
Lookout. Pacific City is about 15 miles further down 101 if you want to stay
in a hotel. We ended up doing that last September when it rained for the
whole ride and we just couldn't bear to stay in a tent!
Have fun!
Tony

Does anyone have suggested cycling routes from Portland (Hillsboro) to the
Oregon coast (either Cannon Beach, Tillamook or Lincoln City) or anyplace in
between, Any & all input is appreciated (including roads to stay off).
