Even though I'm only 56 I think the longer distances (40K+) are less stressful then the shorter 10mile/20K TTs.

Oh, please. I was hoping to start a movement to get the 65-69 group changed
to 40K. Not that I've experienced what it's like to be that age yet, but
I'm 62, and hoping to have the challenge available when I get to 65. I
certainly don't want 60-64 changed to 20K. I'm still getting faster, and
hoping this year to beat my PR set in 1981 at age 36.

I have had a call asking that the older masters not do 40K at the TT
champs. Can we get a concensus?
40 K for 59 and under for men
20 K for 60 and over for men
40 K for 49 and under for women
20 K for 50 and over for women?
Need to hear from you.
