I can't help you with the list membership, since I'm not the admin. But I can offer some advice, if I may. I use email filters to divert the messages from this list, and others, to different folder (essentially). This keeps them out of my inbox. I then browse the posts for each list I subscribe to in it's respective folder and read only the ones that interest me. I can't keep up with the volume of posts for the many lists I subscribe to either. In fact, I have more than 25,000 unread messages currently.

Just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it.
