Perhaps an even better idea is to have an Equipment Committee meet routinely (say once or twice a year). This way we can evaluate what the state of equipment is, what needs to be replaced and how soon. It seems to me that we have gotten by for years with the assistance of Ron working to keep the radios and timer clocks running on a wing and a prayer. We are a big time organization now based on the growth of recent years. Perhaps now is the time to start looking ahead instead of just keeping ahead.
If something like this laready exists, then my apologies for stepping on toes. If it doesnt exist, then now is as good a time as any to start putting one together.
Banquet topic perhaps?
