Re: Wheels: Factory vs. Custom Built

Heya,

my $0.02.

I'm a newbie so I have limited experience, but I had a pair built with
DTSwiss 240's, Velocity Aerohead rims (28h Front, 32h rear), and DT
Revolution spokes. They're stiff, springy, durable, smooth, and they engage
pretty quickly. I'm pretty sure they're sub 1500g too. I think all told it
came to about $600 built.

I've gotten more value out of them than the factory wheelsets I've had.
However, I haven't ridden any of the high end factory wheelsets. But in the
$400-900 range I think it's probably the most bang for the buck I've found.

Cheers,
Q
