Agreed, those guys on the tandem came to play! Yes indeed, thank you Dave Roth for taking the photos and sharing them with us. As we were about to start I saw a rider with one arm and half of a traditional handlebar. I didn't get a chance to talk to him. As the day wore on and I was struggling up the hills I began thinking of him and the mechanics of doing what I was doing with one arm. Shifting? Braking? Holding yourself on the bike while putting power to the pedals? A tip of the hat to him for even attempting this. Does anyone know who he was or whether he finished?
