My wife and I took a run on our tandem (a Santana Team Scandium). Unlike those two guys on the Calfee tandem, we are just regular folks.
We had suitable gearing, so none of the climbs, other that Brywood and College were a problem. We walked up about half of Brywood, and almost made it up College.
We don't climb as well as anybody else, so were off the back pretty fast. We figure that we completed about 90% of the ride - took a few shortcuts in view of the time we took. Got all the steep climbs though.
Finished at around 3:30 - in the rain!
