For a particular route I did I get the following numbers:

When I download to Motionbased it lists my total Elevation gain as: 8200'
When I use the Garmin Training Center software: 7182'
When I convert the way points to Topo Software: 5696'

As you can see that's a HUGE variance.
What gives?
