"Let them have their fun in the kiddy pool..."

Would that make them a pedal-phile?...

Why do people get all uptight about sandbagging in a
novice race?  Let them have their fun in the kiddy pool and you go and
race in the M4/5's.  Better yet, race with the cat 4/5's on Tuesdays to
get your full money's worth so you can upgrade to a 4.

Someone who has raced for years is not a novice.  If they are placing

well consistently they are sandbagging.  I don't know the specifics

about the latest two.

Unfortunately, one of the only ways to discourage the practice is for

someone to publicly call a sandbagger out.

I suspect that Candi and Kenji don't have the time or the inclination

to police the categories.  Perhaps if there was a computer program...

Categories are helpful in keeping racers encouraged and improving.

Sandbagging detracts from that.

I'm looking forward to watching the crit at Mt. Tabor tomorrow.  Try

not to miss it!

Have a great day,
