Please elaborate on the ammonia thing. I've been OK for a couple of
seasons. The only problem I had was when the sealant dried out while the
wheel/tire was in storage this winter. The puddle of sealant solidified
like thin fried egg whites. That would have put the wheel out of balance if
I had not removed it.

Has anyone actually had their tires "eaten" by Stans? I've had a set of
Maxxis Ignitors on my 29er for over two years, and have never even had to
deflate them to add more goop. (I probably will soon, just because it's
really been awhile.)
I also ran tubeless for 'cross using Ksyriums and Vittoria XG (non-UST)
tires, no strips, no tape, just goop, but those held air from August through
January. I had to break the seals to put road tires on this spring. Seems to
work pretty well to me.
Maybe I'm just lucky and my tires are a thin veneer of rotting imminent
death.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Tubeless options for CX
So, I've been almost talked out of going to any kind of tubular set up
for the Cross Crusade this year, as I'm not up to investing in
multiple wheelsets and CX tubular tires at this point. So, I know
there are a few people out there like Erik V that run tubeless set ups
for CX, but it seems like a lot of people use Stan's sealant, which I
understand will eat tires over the course of the season (because it
has ammonia in the mixture).
My question is, has anyone locally used Bontrager's Super Juice
instead of Stan's with a CX tubeless set up? Also, if you do use
Stan's rims, are you using the ZTR 355 29er's, or what? Those are 24mm
wide rims, so do they fit 32mm tires like Michelin Mud 2s securely
enough to run them tubeless?
