I've used Ksyriums with tubeless and I know others who have as well. My setup, specifically, was: Ksyrium SSC wheels, tubeless valve stem, Stan's liquid, and standard (not UST-specific) Vittoria XG 'cross tires.
Nothing else was required. Ksyriums don't have spoke holes, so no tape is needed, they're already sealed. I've also used standard road wheels and Stan's tape (not rim strips, just the yellow tape, which looks like slightly stiffer, slicker masking tape), with good success, but the Ksyriums and Vittorias matched up so well I could inflate them with a floor pump but still install and remove the tires without a lever.
Some tire/rim combos won't work. They need to fit the rim tightly enough that they won't blow off. I have not been able to use Ritchey tires with any Mavic rim, and some Michelin muds haven't sealed perfectly on some rims, but the jury's still out on those and I'm trying that again this year.
You can always use the Stans rim strips, but to me they seem to add unnecessary weight and hassle. Tires are harder to mount and dismount, so I don't use them. Best to try and see what works for you. It's not an exact science.
Craig

Someone mentioned earlier about using Kysriums in a tubeless setup. Could you please elaborate on what your setup was specifically? Do any legitimate systems exist that can convert standard road wheels to tubeless?
Thanks.

OK, thanks for the info. Still, anyone use the Bontrager's for either
XC or CX? Still nice to have options.
