NW Cyclist

I think it's that time of year (tongue in cheek)...on Saturday I was riding
up Thompson at 8AM, having a great early morning ride when I see this black
car coming up from behind (in my mirror) and he wasn't movng over at
all, there was NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I just happen to be at one of those
spots on Thompson where the paved shoulder was about 3 inches past the white
line, and then gravel beyond that. So this car comes within a foot or less
of me then steers over into the gravel & punches it to create a dust storm
in my face. I was livid with the guy, but what could I do, is there any
recourse ?
