Yeah...it was a sad day. I have no clue how they would be able to fix it. Basically you'd have to reroute the trail way up the hillside away from the creek, but who knows how the rest of the mtn is looking, or you can try and bridge back and forth over the creek a few times to whatever side still had a hill side to build on. There were FEMA flags marking the trail all the way up. It was the only way we made it. You'd hike over the debris for 15-20min, then see orange flag fluttering in the wind off in the distance. We knew that that is were the trail started again and we'd aim for that marker. Became a little game, like "where Waldo".
