Skyliners road is a pretty sparse one. There are only a few side roads,
these are the best possibilities:
* The entrance to Phil's Trailhead - in the first mile of the TT on
the left there is a paved road at the end of the rail fence.
There's plenty of parking and the shade is good.
* Road 4606 - about a mile farther up the road on the right there is
a gravel side road. The shade on the right won't be very good but
a trail crosses from the opposite side and there are some rocks to
sit on that might be shady for a while.
* Road 4610 - on the left another mile and a half up. There is a
wide turnout and more parking up in the trees from there. The
upper parking will be in the shade, the turnout will not be.
However, this is at a rise in the course that the riders will be
climbing up to in both the out and back directions.
* Road 300 - another one on the left and a mile and half farther up
(look for the red cinders). It's at the end of a long straight
uphill section and the riders will be going by fast on the return.
The parking is wide and maybe somewhat shady.
