I usually shoot for 220-250 miles a week. I also don't own a car so my commute fills out a good portion of that number. I would say: 1) it depends on what you are training for, 2) quality over quantity any day, 3) try to get a longer ride in at least once a week but work your way up to it. Again it depends on what you are training for and what your body tells you to do, some people can be fast and get away with a hundred miles a week while still being comfortable on long century rides. Whatever race you are training for maybe do some rides that will take twice as long to get a good base, all the while vary the intensity. Good luck and safe riding.
