President's Day Cherry Pie Race

Sunday, FEBRUARY 17th, 2002



Honor Past Presidents by starting off the season with the first OBRA race for

2002.



Have all those winter workouts paid off, or have a few extra couch potato

days really hurt your fitness? This is the time for the honesty test.



Course: Same as last year, 21 miles long each lap, mostly flat with two big

rollers half mile in length…hills to some…rollers to others. Road surface is

good to rough, light wheels okay, but have good rubber on your tires.



Directions: I-5 to exit 209 by Harrisburg just west of I-5. Park in Sherman

Brothers Parking Lot. Not in café area. Overnight parking at RV lot 100

meters from start.



Registration opens 8:30 a.m. in Sherman Brothers and Hungry Farmer Café

parking lot.



This is the first OBRA BAR race for 2002! Placing 15 deep each field for

OBRA points (prizes 6 deep).



Start Times: Race registration Closes 10 minutes before start time

Juniors under 18       10:00 am 1 lap 21 miles

Men Cat 1,2,3           11:00 am 3 laps 62 miles

Men Cat 3, 4, 5        11:10 am 2 laps     42 miles

Women Cat 1,2,3     11:15 am 2 laps 42 miles

Women Cat 4           11:15 am* 2 laps 42 miles

Masters 35+            11:30 am** 2 laps 42 miles

Masters 45+            11:30 am** 2 laps 42 miles

*Cat 4 women will start and be scored together if less than 5 in category.

**Masters 35+ and 45+ will start and be scored together if less than 5 in age

group.



Fees: $15.00 postmarked before February 8, $18.00 day of race. Make checks

payable to 2 Dog Racing. Mail standard OBRA Release www.OBRA.org with check

to 2 Dog Racing 1860 W 14th Ave; Eugene, OR 97402. You'll need an OBRA

license to ride, available at registration, get your 2002 license and cloth

number if not received in mail yet!

OBRA Annual licenses are available for $15.00

OBRA One-day licenses are available for $5.00



Of course, helmets required, under OBRA rules.



Prizes: Yummy gourmet Wild Plum cherry Pies! Prizes 6 deep
