Despite the weather/venue I believe we should be thankful someone is willing to
put on the Natz.
The date selection is probably the result of when USAC would allow the race to
happen and when the promoter could find an opening for local support.
Additionally, I have no idea why anyone would want to put on the Nationals. USAC
gives no sponsorship but requires you provide their sponsors top bill on banners,
flyers etc. and they still charge permit fees! Isn't that called extortion?
