Winter Riding

Riding in the rain is cold. I use fenders if just a little part of my butt

is dry Im happy (But,that's me). It doesn't rain much here in Bend. But it

is cold. I ride everyday I wear (Top Down) A thin lycra Balaclava, Thin

thermax top ,a fleece Jersey my Mom made me that has a rip stop front, a

Burley rain jacket, Bib shorts, performance polar tech bottoms, thin

aireater socks, mountain bike shoes, and pearlazumi booties. Here's how cold

it is.... when I move my arms I can here ice cracking! And my booties have

ice covering the toes sometimes up to my knees.Yesterday there was so much

slush frozen in my fenders it was like ridding with the brakes on. But my

Toes were warm and so was the rest of me. I feel the thin socks are the key

to warm feet. My toes move around freely and theres plenty of room for the

veins on the tops of the feet to pump blood.

               All the best, Peter
