Some kinds of fat are really good to have in the diet. For example,

Omega-3

fats (the kind of fat found in fish) is a healthful fat to have in your

diet. Liz Applegate says (in Eat Smart, Play Hard) that "omega-3 and

omega-6 fats are crucial for a strong immune system and healthy skin and

nerve fibers." The main things to stay away from are saturated fats and

foods that have "partially hydrogenated oils" in them. Having some fat in

your diet, as long as it is the right kind, is healthy and necessary.

Your

body won't function properly without them.

So what type of fat are you supposed to eat if you are

not hitting 20-25%? I'm no going to go eat a stick of

butter
