hope this isn't covered ad nauseum but i have an article from a recent cycle sport written by the wasp magnet himself, jonathan vaughters.
"One way to stave this off (falling testosterone levels) is to eat more fat -- yes, i did say eat more fat. As one university of indiana study showed that men with a diet of 40% fat had much higher testosterone levels than men with a diet of 20% fat. the key to keeping this within the parameters of a good diet is to choose your fats wisely. monounsaturated fats, shuch as those in nuts and olive oil are best, with animal fats and anything with the word hydrogenated in it being the worst. so, eat a little more fat but try olive oil instead of butter, and nuts instead of chips."
apparently he was writing nutrition/training articles for cycle sport and there was one about insulin and naturally produced growth hormones and this article expands on it and also discusses on the bike training in conjunction with nutrition.
