OBRA Banquet/Cycling Conference

All,

I would second what David says below. The conference was very well done on

all fronts.   I would encourage fellow racers and recreational riders to

consider coming next year. The panel put togethor was impressive and had

lots of good information to pass on. There were good discussions around

general training principles, power output, nutrition, focus & concentration,

etc. And at $30 bucks well worth it. Part of what made the topics

worthwhile was the focus on ? and answers. There were many good ?s from the

crowd (riders like you and me) that spurred on lots of good discussion.

thanks, ryan

Thanks to Jerry Powell and all the others involved in producing OBRA's

2001 Awards Banquet and Cycling Conference which took place at the

Multnomah Athletic Center last weekend. Great facility, food, and, most

importantly, presentations by the folks that make Oregon racing work so

well. -Three cheers (at least)!

I would be interested in hearing comments on coaching tips/concepts

which went on during the day (I only attended the banquet). Anyone

learn anything?

David
