Schwinn Paramount 434 seat post

If that fails, get a standard post that fits the frame and drill a hole

through the seat tube and the post. Get a couple of front brake/reflector

washers that are concave on one side (to fit the cruve of the seat tube.

You may need to file them to fit exactly.) and run a bolt clear through.

You could slot the post to get height adjustment.

Nathan,

Those bikes used a proprietary seat post made by Sugino; you might prowl

some bike stores that were Schwinn dealers for a long time, maybe Kissler's.

Sorry I didn't get out to see you run the torch.

To my surprise there is no way to attach a seat post to my Schwinn

Paramount 434 frame. Some believe it takes a proprietary seat post with an

expanding wedge like a handlebar stem. Any advice would be appreciated on

where I could find one or a cheap and safe way to attach a saddle.

    - Another Idea -

Anyone in OBRA land have a 60cm frame I can have, borrow, buy super

cheap - to be used for training in the rain until my stolen racing bike is

replaced by insurance money?

I expect to have my new bike in 2 months.
