It is a violation of the rules and could be penalized at the discretion of
the Race Official. Obviously the biggest problem would be if you had a
different number in prior years because then there could be a number
duplication. Having a current number is also one of the ways that we make
certain that riders have joined for the year. Having non-member riders in
races is a liability issue.

If we have kept the same number as last year, BUT it's on a bib marked
"2008", is it OK to use it?
