  1. Physically remove sticker.

  2. Use Goof Off to soften sticker
    residue.

  3. Use Goo Gone to remove Goof Off
    residue.

  4. Wash with soap to remove Goo
    Gone residue.

  5. Apply new sticker.

YMMV

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Getting the
OBRA card clean, once the clear sticker is gone

Well, I
took my old clear sticker of the OBRA card, I am having a hard time getting the
residue off of the card. I tried rubbing alcohol with a cloth and with one of
those teflon pot scrubbers, and neither really does it. The residue seems hard,
though, rather than sticky, and the bar code sticker will probably stick to it.

Has anyone had the same problem and
fixed it?

Is the problem with the residue that
it keeps the card from scanning? In that case, I guess I better do something
about it. If, however, it's how to make the card nicer for the member to
handle, maybe I can just ignore it for a while. Does anyone know if it's an
issue for scanning, or whatever we are doing at races with the cards this
season?
