Why not March? The race sounded very interesting, but I did not go...It's way to early in the year. After all the discussion on this topic and the survey last summer...it just surprises me that the racer request to move races back on the calendar was ignored...Although I do appreciate the races that did more further back on the calendar.

I think Ron was right on with this race. It was a crazy drive in February from Bend, Lots of fun and lots of pain. My only comment is why not in March. I think the organizers agree with this. This race was 9 weeks from my last cross race and 8 weeks until my next mtn race. Also we need a few more of the 55+ men out there. Ron and I touching the 60 mark and we are still going.

That was a fun start to the XC season. My back is sore, but that is my problem not that of the course. I was concerned with the rain, but the single track (and there was lots of it) was just a blast. You guys have used the land you have very well. Great trails. When does the sage bloom up there? The course was also very well marked and the volunteers were all smiles. I felt like a little kid except toward the end when I felt old and tired. Thanks to all of the people and sponsors of Red to Red. You put on a blast of a race for the season opener. It was also so great to see so many smilin' faces. Don Leet crushed the course and me. I am not surprised as he is an animal. I heard nothing but positive comments and offers of assistance between riders when on the course. I love it. Thanks to OBRA for giving us the umbrella to live this lifestyle. I would say it is too long until the next race, but I will first let my body heal before making that call.
Next up just might be the Sunday go to Meeting.
