i just got a new card in the mail because my bank said my old one was compromised. i did not see anything funky on my bank statement but i canceled my old one anyway. don't know if there is a coincidence or not. but it is starting to get interesting. my old card was master card if that makes any difference.

I've recently read that there are at least 4 people in OBRA that have had
their VISA check card numbers compromised, myself being one of them. If
you've recently had your information used fraudulently shoot me an email and
we can build a master list.
There may be nothing going on here but it sure seems coincidental that this
appears to be going through our community so quickly. I just wanted to be
proactive in getting the word out be on the look out for petty charges to your
account. I personally use 1stTech and luckily they caught the activity early
enough that it wasn't a huge hit.
I got a hint that something fishy might be going on after ready Erik's most
recent blog entry:

Like I said, I hope I'm wrong and someone hasn't compromised a site we
all use but you never know.
