RE: [OBRA Chat] BTA press release on bike registration bill*******Road
Tax conspiracy?

I read a lot of stuff, Oregonian, BikePortland, BTA press releases,
etc., but I have never seen anything that directly describes where the
funds for our roads come from. I would love to see a real number or a
pie chart or something. Can someone please help me with this?

Attached is the BTA's press release on the bike registration bill.

Karl Rohde, the BTA's Government Relations & Public Affairs Director,
spoke about the bill live on KXL at 7:30 this morning. Please feel
free to contact Karl if you have questions or concerns.

The BTA will put a copy of the press release on the website or blog, for
those who can't read attachments.

The BTA is an important voice for cyclists in the state legislature.
Please, if you support their work, consider becoming a member. The cost
is reasonable, and the work is critical.
