Re: Cannondale to move all production overseas

My Mom used to ask me, "if everyone else is jumping off a bridge would
you go and jump too?" Her point of course was just because "everyone"
is doing it doesn't necessarily make it a good idea.

Very few of us have non-exportable jobs. The ones that are left are not
always exactly what we would like to be doing. Consider that when you
open your wallet. You are sending money somewhere, supporting someone,
supporting their government. Is that person an American like you? Is
their country more important to you than the one you live in? Do you
understand that that flow of money adds up to serious economic - and
often military - power? Do you even think about it?

Do you even care?

Ken is 100% correct...why the Cannondale bashing when everyone else is already over there...if anything people should be grateful they stayed in the USA this long...most other companies went over the years ago.

Not to defend or deride the move over seas but how is this going to make Cannondale any worse then all the other brands already made over there including such 'Italian" stalwarts such as Colnago etc? Let's face it, Taiwan is quickly becoming the world center of bicycle production, much of it of excellent quality. Name a single major bike brand still made state side, except for Trek. And I believe thatÂ’s just their carbon models.
